Teaching Assistant

Leesa began working at Highfields Kindergarten on a casual contract in May 2024 and is now a part time Teaching Assistant for the Wombat Group. Leesa believes that children are naturally creative, and each day at Kindy, she enjoys observing their freedom to express individuality through activities like imaginative play, arts and crafts, music, dance, storytelling, and nature exploration. Leesa delights in working with the children and building on the connections made throughout the year. “Although the children are initially shy, their unique personalities gradually shine through. By the end of the year, they are happy, confident, and ready to head into big school. It is incredibly rewarding to nurture and support them during this important time in their lives.”
