As a community Kindergarten, all parents/guardians who enrol at Highfields Kindergarten become members of the Highfields & District Kindergarten Association Inc for the year their child is enrolled.

A Management Committee, made up of members of the Association i.e. parents/guardians who have children attending the Kindergarten, is elected at the Annual General Meeting to operate the Kindergarten on behalf of all families and in conjunction with our staff.

The Committee is comprised of 9 positions being the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Fundraising Officer, Maintenance & Workplace Health & Safety Officer, Ground Maintenance Officer, Grants Officer, and Newsletter Editor.

The Committee work alongside our staff to manage the Kindergarten and are heavily supported by the Centre Manager and Administration team to meet the legislative, financial and employer responsibilities, as well as the funding and affiliation requirements of C&K.

Collaboration between staff, Committee, children, families, and community is key to providing a quality educational program and a positive Kindergarten experience.

We urge you to consider taking on a Committee position. Your participation will certainly contribute knowledge, skills and energy that are invaluable resources to our Kindergarten and may even provide opportunities to develop new skills.
